Well, I didn't get an answer from emailing Udon's main site, but I DID get an answer from their deviantart page (lol whut). Anyway, here's the reply I got regarding the artbook's release date, word for word: "Heyo, it'll be end of December or early January, depending on customs." So actually not too bad! At least it hasn't been cancelled (I hope I didn't just jinx it by saying that >.> ...)

What Is My Quest? To Seek The Elusive Holmes Image! (with or without unladen swallow)

I come to you, members of Cox & Co, to seek something that's determinedly eluded me for about a month now. I have a memory of Basil Rathbone portraying Sherlock Holmes and dressing up as his Captain Basil persona. Peacoat, possibly an eyepatch, and I think facepaint to make his skin look swarthy. Am I high? Does anyone else remember this? AND, oh, dear community members, IF you remember this, does anyone remember from which movie? I am going crazy with my sucky memory, trying to recall this--presuming, of course, that it DOES exist--and would be pitifully grateful to anyone with this information. Should anyone actually have a pic or screencap to share, again presuming I'm not utterly out of my mind (more than usual), I would probably squee for an hour and possibly asplode. I'll try not to get any on you, if so.
Thank you oodles and bunches in advance, for yea or nay, just so long as I can resolve this mental dilemma. THIS one. Heh.

Look, the only person you're hurting? Is yourself. I'm not upset that I'm not going to have to deal with all of that - you're the one going around pretending that everything has to be a certain way. Just remember, this was all your idea. And someday, you're going to regret it.
Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying my high school career without zombies and walking countries and god-knows-what-else.

Summary: Even in a race of super-advanced robots, not all defects can be repaired by a medic. The team in charge of raising the twins is certainly learning that firsthand. And now they have to find some solution for the problem before both their lab and their sanity are destroyed.
Notes: Aha! We’re at the crux of the problem, here. Now Hoist can begin sorting things out.

Pairing: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson preslash with a heavy platonic dose of Holmes/Irene Adler
Rating: PG
Summary: If you squint, it's a Christmas fic. Holmes, frustrated in love (frustrated, as usual, by himself), spends an evening doing not much of anything. But every bit of it has to do with music, so he ends up not so very frustrated after all. Inspired by Jane and Spacefall's love of music!fic, as otherwise I would never have had the stones to write it.

Here's the link for the current round of prompt claiming!
For anyone who's interested in claiming a sick!Wilson prompt, holiday-themed or not, the thread will be closed Monday at 5pm CST. Entries should be a minimum of 500 words and the deadline is 3 January. I don't know about anyone else, but I have a few unclaimed prompts that I think are pretty cool! *wink*

Hi! At about 6p.m. EST I'll open Shmink's gates, and anyone up for June fishing, bug hunting, or rain is welcome! Please avoid running, as we are working hard to grow in the grass. For that matter, if you have any spare flowers, please feel free to plant them anywhere along the path where grass is gone. Thanks!
The locals need new home decor, and so any donations of bells are appreciated (but please come by either way, as we'd love visitors!)
If you have a hacked town/ have blue carnations to share, they're all I want for Christmas ;) Thanks in advance.

Holmes for the Holidays
I just wanted to remind everyone about our Holmes for the Holidays Fiction/Art Charity Drive. I know there are a lot community exchanges going on at this time of year, but, please, consider participating.
Tags
All members are now able to create tags. That's something I'm always woefully behind on. So, please, help out. All I ask is that you keep in mind that tags are there to help other members find what they're looking for (i.e., "omg why did i write this" "not my fault" and "there's no tag for this" are cute, but not helpful). Please, do not create a tag for "slash," that goes without saying. I may periodically wrangle and normalize similar tags (e.g., "watson/omc" and "omc/watson" would be deconflicted to "watson/omc").
Please, check the current Cox & Co. tags list before you create a new one. (Don't see your username? Please, make a tag for it!)
One thing I've always been undecided about: Do warnings warrant tags? Should they take the format "warning: rape" for example? Or is the warning line in the headers enough? I've seen other communities use warning tags and I just wondered if that's something our members would find worthwhile. I have no squicks or triggers, so I realize I'm not the best judge. (Of course there are scenarios I don't seek out or would rather not read, but that's not the same thing.)
Posting Instructions
Reminder: New folks, please, read/follow the community's posting instructions. Thanks!
Dreamwidth
Reminder: Cox & Co. is also on Dreamwidth, here, and I have plenty of DW invitation codes left. Please, send me a private message with your e-mail address, if you'd like a code to create an account.

For those unrelated (ha) with the site Unrelated Captions, what you do is you take a picture and put completely random text on it. And for some reason, it makes the easily amused (like me) laugh every damn time.
So let's see if it works with pictures of Wilson and random words! The words can be movie quotes (like mine from Apocalypse Now, the Best Movie Ever), advertising taglines, historical lines, cliches, whatever, as long as they have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH WILSON!

Maybe it's only funny to me because I feel kind of ill. Maybe I'm not really making this post! Maybe I'm really lying unconscious in the hallway. Enjoy maybe!
